"A Hint of Lace" by Lynda Cookson

I'm chuckling to myself this morning working with this image. Somehow my brain thought there was a song from the rock 'n roll era with the words "A hint of lace" in the lyrics but a search on google didn't bring any such song up ... so I am left to surmise that it is just another case of me singing heartily but using the wrong words in a song! Sigh .... I think we've all done that!

This is a mixed media painting in oil, with the background produced using palette knife, a collage of pink tissue paper and black lace, and what I felt to be the lyrics of that elusive (non-existent? LOL) song represented by dancing lines of gold liner paint.

"Lion Cub" as an instant image download

I recently had cause to produce some black art pen and watercolour sketches of African wild life. I loved being taken back to my roots and will never tire of depicting wild animals. This was the first one I did ... "Lion Cub" available here as an instant image download. (Just click on the image)

Big White Flowers

"Big White Flowers" is so fresh and bold. It feels free and full of sunshiny happiness to me.

Just like today ... we have another really beautiful and warm sunny day with clear skies. What ever happened to winter on the coast of Brittany this year I just don't know. I'm sitting here with a cool top on and a thin cardigan, with only one pair of socks to keep my toes warm. Crazy to be so toasty, without a heater on, in what is usually deepest coldest winter.

This painting is immediately downloadable as an image for you to print and you can find it here ... https://www.etsy.com/listing/684216819/big-white-flowers-instant-digital-image?ref=shop_home_active_1
